About the Business
Darren started hairdressing in 1991 and worked in the Upperoom Hair salon in Durham for eight years eventually becoming salon manager. He moved to Brighton in 1999 and worked for the leading salon chain Saks Hair and Beauty until 2005. Darren then took a two-year sabbatical from hairdressing and travelled around Asia. On returning to Brighton he spent four years working self-employed in Seven Dials before opening Room 5 Hairdressing in 2011.
She carried out her training with the Look Fantastic hair academy, achieving NVQ levels 2 and 3. She has been at Room 5 since the very beginning and holds the position of Stylist within the salon.
