About the Business
More specifically, we are a family owned business and pride ourselves on being family orientated. Having started the business in 1970, John retired in 2006 after over five decades of hairdressing. During which time he passed on a wealth of knowledge & experience on to fellow colleagues. Today the salon is run by John's son Nigel who returned to the family business in 1982 having completed his apprenticeship in London. Our salon is in a beautiful timber framed building which we believe gives its own ambiance.
As to our hairdressing, we pride ourselves on enjoying our work & do our best to stay ahead of the trends & fashions hairdressing throws at us while also remembering not everybody wants the very latest iconic style! Hair by John has a passion for producing tomorrow's hairdressers and has a program for nurturing the talent in conjunction with the local colleges.
