About the Business
Amelia Hair Salon is a unisex salon that has been established in the South Wigston area of Leicestershire since 1992. It has a loyal client base from among the surrounding community as well as enjoying regular patronage from a number of foreign visitors whilst they are in the U.K.
After gaining various types of salon experience as a technician for another reputable salon, Amelia worked for a period in a gents hair salon before returning to college, going on to gain the NVQ level 3 qualification in advanced hairdressing.
Following on from her latest qualification, Amelia decided to develop her skills as a teacher. She began teaching barbering skills at the local Young Offenders Institution, progressing onto teaching hairdressing and business at a Leicestershire school. To help consolidate her teaching skills, Amelia went on to gain a QTS Degree (Qualified Teaching Status) at Northampton University.
